10 Best upcoming Android Games 2024

Mobile games have come into their own in recent years, with tons of great new games released every month. The only issue is that the Google Play Store is still a mess, so finding upcoming Android games can be an absolute nightmare. To help, we put together this list of the 15 best upcoming Android games, in categories like adventure, action, racing, and more. Have a look and get ready to mark your calendars!

1. Dauntless

Dauntless is a free-to-play co-op action RPG that’s currently available for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. Developer Phoenix Labs has said the mobile version of the game is currently in the early concept phase but has not provided an exact timeframe for when it will be released.

Mobile development was temporarily put on the backburner in 2019. However, according to a recent interview with Lead Product Manager Hans Reifenrath, the company is still committed to releasing Dauntless on mobile sometime in the future.

In Dauntless, you step into the shoes of a slayer, and your job is to take down monsters knows as behemoths. You can hunt solo or team up with up to three other slayers. With every kill, you get crafting materials that you can then use to make weapons to take on even scarier monsters.

Like the console and PC versions, Dauntless on Android will likely be a free-to-play title that requires a constant internet connection.

2. Total War Battles: Warhammer

Mobile RTS games have a bad reputation, yet this forthcoming Android game is based on one of the genre's most popular franchises: Total War. This game, like the other PC releases, is set in the Warhammer universe, so expect to encounter dwarves, high elves, Skaven, and other Warhammer characters.

It's worth mentioning that, even though it's set in the same world, it's not being developed by Creative Assembly. Instead, NetEase, a seasoned mobile developer, is leading the charge. This could improve the game's mobile optimization, but it might also mean that contentious aspects like stamina and premium currency are included.

We don't know much about this one yet, but according to the official website, a restricted beta will be available shortly. More information will be released in the following months.

3. Plants vs. Zombies 3

The Witcher, a fan favorite novel, was recently adapted into a popular Netflix program, and now it's time for a fresh new mobile game. Spokeo, which CD Projekt bought two years ago especially to work on a new mobile game, is developing the game.

We now know that the game will place you in the shoes of an early Witcher (hundreds of years before Geralt of Rivia) who will be hunting monsters in the real world. That's true, The Witcher is being turned into a Pokémon game.

The game boasts console-quality graphics as well as a sophisticated crafting system for creating potions, traps, and other items. It will be released in Summer 2021, following an early access soft launch in May.

5. Summoners War: Chronicles

Summoners War was one of the first mobile games to gain widespread acclaim. This new Android and the iOS game will allow you to relive the thrills in a whole new way. Even if you've gone on to other games, Summoners War will always have a special place in the hearts of many individuals as their first mobile game addiction.

Summoners War: Chronicles is a real-time massively multiplayer online role-playing game set 70 years before the events of the first game. 6. NieR Re[in]carnation

New mobile games in established console or PC series are sometimes dumbed-down versions that blur the boundary between game and slot machine, but Nier Re[in]carnation aims to break the mold.

While we haven't heard much about a mobile version of Apex Legends recently, we do know that Respawn Entertainment's popular battle royale game is coming to mobile devices shortly. Devs stated that a mobile version of the game is in the works shortly after the game's initial release.

After then, until April 2021, EA stayed silent. In the Philippines and India, the game is now in closed beta, so gamers in those countries may test it outright immediately. It's been rebuilt from the ground up for mobile, including touch controls and other enhancements. Unfortunately, this means it won't be able to be played on both a PC and a console.

10. Pokémon Sleep

I is the second Pokémon game on this list of forthcoming Android games, but it was revealed a long time ago. Pokémon Sleep was initially revealed in May of this year, but there hasn't been much news since then.

Still, new Pokémon games are always exciting to anticipate, and this one takes an entirely different approach. Instead of actively traveling to capture them all, Pokémon Sleep tracks your sleeping patterns to transform "sleeping into fun."

It's unclear how this will work, but Pokémon Go managed to transform strolling into fun, so who knows? Keep an eye out for additional information on this one in 2021.
